Within an investigation and when using the light microscope and photomicrographs, students should be able to: identify systematic or random errors in an investigation; identify the main sources of error; suggest improvements to a procedure; suggest how to extend the investigation; describe clearly, in words or diagrams, improvements to the procedure.
